Review

It's Romeo and Juliet meeting The Fast & The Furious, minus the crime and Shakespeare's tragic ending.

Nothing could describe this series better. And honestly how does Lauren manage to outdo herself which each book in this series???

I enjoyed the first book.
I liked the second one.
And I’m in love with the third.

Jax and Elena present a whole new level of heartbreakingly sweet.
I adore Elena. I love Jax.

This book is a bit different that the first one - addressing topics like addiction, mental health and illness, trauma and murder. So please look up trigger warnings first.

But Lauren did an impeccable job with this book. It has the perfect pace, character portrayed in a way that couldn’t be done better and an heartbreaking plot.

How dare she combine my guilty please sports romance with heavy topics like illness and trauma in a heartbreaking yet addicting way? And yes I know that I keep reusing heartbreaking to describe this book but that’s exactly what it is. Nothing can describe it better. I can’t count how often I wanted to cry cause I felt so deeply for those two and everything they have gone through and still have to face! But I was enchanted by the story just as much. I couldn’t stop reading and i felt so much it’s unbelievable.

Did I laugh? Tons of times.
Did I cry? You bet I did.
Did I giggle like a lovesick teen? Probably too much to openly admit.
Did I feel my heart break several times? In thousands of pieces!

Jax and Elena have a journey on another level. The second we saw Jax flirting with dear Elena in their first meeting in Collided I was over the top excited about their book but I did not see this coming. I expected the same enjoyable and loveable tone from the first books but this one is different. But not at all in bad way. It has a way darker and serious tone at times but it’s not less fun to read at all!!
And it so real and gives a fantastic insight of what some people have to go through in their lives.

This one is honestly my favorite one yet! I loved the kind of relationship Liam and Sophie had, but Jax and Elena are the real deal! Taking over the world together and overcoming every rocky path. They are so inspiring and honestly if only every love was as strong as theirs. They keep going no matter what and if I had one quote to describe their dynamic, it would be ‚Dont let the hard days win‘.
Even though they wanted to quit and where overwhelmed with everything they had to go through, they where strong for the other. Elena carried Jax when he couldn’t go further anymore and he did the same for her. Despite their own struggles, they helped the other and where always their for them. Support no matter what. Elena helped Jax despite her suffering through heav traumata. Jax stood beside Elena when she couldn’t herself, despite his anxiety. They went above and beyond for each other.

Lets see what our homeboy Santi has to offer cause it’s going to be hard beating this power duo!
