A closet nerd who reads novels and discusses movie plot holes for fun.
The type of man who should come with a complimentary roll of caution tape.
He wants to strike a deal. Cross off naughty bucket list items together while traveling around the world.
I should say no and walk away.

Review
I can only repeat myself: Formula 1 is where all the hot men are hiding!
I loved the glimpses about Sophie and Liam we got in the first book and needed to read about their relationship! And this book did not disappoint!
I already knew that I love Sophie! Power woman rule! Everything I loved about her from reading Throttled was just intensified with this book!
She loves to make lists and color-code them. She has enough sass to stand her place and rules the grid!
And Liam. Who knew that German boys can be this hot? Not only is he a racer which alone makes me faint, but he is a hopeless dreamer inside! Tough boy on the outside but in reality he enjoys to read books and watches videos about fan theories over his favorite fantasy books. At least in fiction there are German boys who are able to make me swoon.
And their relationship. Goddamit.
I loved the fact that they, thanks to Sophie, established a friendship first despite their obvious attraction to one another. They created wonderful bond as friends which makes then a perfect relationship possible. I often struggle in books when I can’t see a connection between the love interest than them wanting to fuck each other. They need to bond over more than just that.
But Liam and Sophia really got to know each other and learned to love each other as friends too, which I believe is super important in a relationship. You can’t just be attracted, you need to be friends too! Of course physical attraction is needed but in order for a relationship to work out long term emotional attraction is just as important!
Their story isn’t the usual friends to lovers. They are attracted from the beginning but decide to start as friends, which eventually blows up in their faces. Their journey is really enjoyable to read!!
Soo well done Lauren! I remember struggling with Throttled because lots of bonding moments happened off page and we didn’t see them establish something deeper ourselves as a reader, we got told they did. So I really love it, that this time we life through every important moment with our own eyes!
We saw everything, we lived through everything they did and hurt the same way. And that made it all the sweeter when they finally gave into their feelings!
Only thing I have to criticize is that the book was a bit long. Cut out some pages and it’s perfection! The part about their F+ was necessary but a bit dragged on and could have been shortened.
But overall an really enjoyable book. A sports romance a bit different than usual. A friends to friends with benefits to lovers which I enjoyed even though I usually don’t.
Definitely recommended! Give it a try even though if you didn’t enjoy the first boom that much! In my
opinion Lauren Asher did a fantastic job and made this one better by improving anything I criticized in the first book!
