Review

If you are not already an fan, this series will cause you to start watching Formula 1 and becoming one. Because the truth is - there are the hot man waiting. Damn.

I must admit I didn’t love this book. The pacing felt wrong in the first half. At some parts everything occurred to fast whereas other parts felt dragged out. It felt long and like a lot was going on but at the end nothing much happened.
And even tho Noah and Maya had some serious tension going on, which I really enjoyed, I feel like we never got to read about them really developing feelings. Maya was attracted to him instantly and he almost as fast too.
And the book went on with them having some sexual tension. And a few bonding moments. But them really spending time together and developing feelings happened somehow off-page?
And their interactions sometimes were funny and I wanted to see more of this but we didn’t. And some dialogues were also cringe I must admit.
We got told that they hang out a lot and enjoyed each other’s company but we didn’t really read about it. This is a huge part I miss in this book.

But the ending really got better. The last 150 pages I really enjoyed and even though it got a bit cheesy for the last chapters, I liked to read about it because we finally saw Noah and Maya interact with one another, which I like already mentioned, really missed.

Soo overall I liked this book. I just didn’t love it.
But it had positiv and great things. I loved Mayas and Santis brother sister dynamic and also the friendships between Maya and Sophie and all the F1 men. They were all fun to read about and I enjoyed them hanging out together.

And I had the best time reading about the racing parts!! My F1 Heart has been throughly satisfied with this book. [yes i know some parts are not thaaaat realistic but I just don’t care okay? I loved it]

Overall, it was a good book with some flaws that I can overlook in favor of the rest of the book because it was fun to read about and I really enjoyed it!
And I think those are just my personal taste in books and probably others didn’t see my points as any kind of weaknesses. I just wasn’t obsessed with them, even though I badly wanted to be! I think this story could have been executed better and I would have loved it more then.
But I have read a more previous book from Lauren Asher already and she did all the points I criticized in this review waaay better so I can totally forgive her for not making the best out of the book cause I believe it’s one of her first books she published or even the first? Not sure but I think she did her best and managed to do better in later books.

Sooo now I’m all hyped up to read about my other F1 boys and them finally getting a girl that can keep up with those chaotics!!!

————————————
reread in the what feels like the longest summer break there ever was (season of 2022 in case your wondering)

I just really needed this. This cured all my heartache I had in me.

What I wrote in the review after my first read just stands for me. I just didn’t care this time. It’s just a feel good read to enjoy and consume some kind of f1 in these hard times.

What I want to say here is: if you’re suffering just as much as me then I highly recommend reading this series. It’s better than any kind of distraction to get yourself over the summer weeks. This series is the best. And I hope for a proper review you have read the part above hahahahah
