One mistake destroys my career.
I go from most eligible bachelor to monster, hiding from the world.
At least until Chloe breaks into my home.
My new fake girlfriend is a temporary fix to my biggest problem.
But as our game changes, so do my feelings.
There’s only one issue stopping me from claiming her.
Me.

Chloe Carter
It all started with a birthday wish, some vodka, and an ancestry kit.
That’s how I end up in Italy, finding my long-lost father.
But one decision lands me a fake boyfriend I don’t want.
The more we pretend, the easier our ruse becomes.
I told myself not to fall in love with a liar like Santiago.
I should have listened.

Redeemed is a steamy standalone in the Dirty Air world.

Review

She searched for her dad - and found family.
He wanted to forget - and learned acceptance and peace.

Leave it to Lauren to break us all within the first chapter. First she crushed me with Wrecked and now this one.

MY BOY SANTI. WHYYY. LAUREN YOU CRUEL BUT AMAZING WOMAN, I love you.

Chloe is totally worthy of being on the throne of racer girlfriends of this series. She deserves her spot there with her take-no-shit and seeing the positive no matter what attitude. She is, just like her future friends and former mc of this series, such a strong woman. She doesn’t let her past define her. She is more than just a tragic story.
And with this power of being strong she shows Santi, also knowns as Santiago since this book, how it’s done.

I really love that she forced him to love himself first before he can love someone else. She opens his eyes that he is more than just his accident and showed him in every way possible that he is worthy of being loved and deserves to be happy!

And Santiago Alatorre. My man. What did Lauren do to you. I cried maybe a bit reading those introducing chapters of yours. I had no idea this was going to happen and oh man. My jaw stood wide open. I felt so deeply for him - losing his passion and therefore loosing everything.

But in the end, all of this made it even better. I wasn’t a fan of him before but oh yes I am now.
He made such a beautiful journey throughout this book. It’s truly amazing to see him go from a depressed grump living like a hermit to becoming someone who stands his place and owns up who he is. Someone who isnt ashamed of himself or embarrassed. Someone who learns again how to live himself the same way he’s come to love someone else. Well done Lauren!!!

I must admit I was a bit sad at first because this book doesn’t take place on the grid like the others did and that’s what I loved so much! But. Fear not. She made it, as expected, awesome without the racing setting!

And oh boy did this book make me emotional. I managed to ruin my lavish make up ( stupid me thought she could get ready for the evening BEFORE she finishes this book) in the end.

Their relationship served! Starting as fake dating , cause who doesn’t love this shit, they already had such a enchanting dynamic with each other! And Santi proud of you for being the only friend accepting his feeling and acting upon them rather than deny. They showed each other how to pursue your dreams and inspired each other. Chloe showed Santi how to be happy with yourself and to not let the past define who you are. Santi forced Chloe to be true to herself and pursue her dreams! They are throwing the word healthy in your face. I mean it! I can’t think of a more healthy relationship!

I really enjoyed them together! I loved the scenes where they where just talking. And the scenes where Chloe showed Santi exactly how less of a shit she gives about his prosthetic and that she couldn’t care less. That she likes him and is attracted to him despite this. And then her doing and saying exactly the right thing he needed - oblivious that she is helping him a lot.
And Chloe.

And damn let’s not talk about the spice. She’s definitely there! Let me just say - elevator gets stuck. Help me.

This was a worthy ending for this beautiful series! One can clearly see how the author grew herself throughout writing this series! In the end she somehow found her style and it’s impeccable!
I’ve read all of Lauren Asher’s books now and I consider myself a die hard fan.

I still would consider Wrecked as my favorite but this one is a close second! You knew the second I sacrificed my make up and read during lessons. Clear indicators that shit is great! Not every book gets granted these things!

I really hope she continues with the second generation in the near future! I’m so hyped to see all of those little kids get racing adults too and who are we trying to fool? We want to see our racer men again!

Honestly this series not only served with some over the top amazing romance but with inspiring and beautiful friendships too!
They have such a great bond! Support no matter what! Not an ounce of toxicity even though some of them are actually rivals! Just look at Noah and Santi. They went from hating each other’s guts in the fist book to brothers.
They all platonically love each other deeply and this gang… it’s what I want my group of friends to be like! Enjoying life together, marriage and kids all together, settling down and moving in next to each other and celebrating Christmas together. Still friends after many years. Still friends after going through different life stages. That’s some inspiring shit.

You realize, I can’t let them all go.
I’m so sad now to let them all free.
But it’s time to say goodbye from this amazing series and start a new adventure.

Sooo to come to an end: amazing book! You should definitely read it! Not only for the swoon worthy romance but also the message about self love and unconditional friendship!
